Marjorie June Hiatt Stevens, passed away peacefully at home in Wildie, on February 20th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
June was born in Wildie, KY, on June 23rd, 1936, to Willie Lee Hiatt Sr, and Margie May Parsons Hiatt, she was the youngest of seven children.
June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, church member, and friend, among countless other things. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jan I. Stevens, and four of her six siblings. She is survived by her three children, Jan Eyvan (Tammy), Jill, and Jeff, as well as seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
June lived a rich, full life of fun and creativity, and service to others. She spent her final days being deservedly loved by her family and friends and loving on her two new grandsons.
“Oh, Wildie we love you so true, with your hills and the sky that’s so blue, with breezes that whisper in glee of this great land of the free. Your school with its students so fine, and the birds in the sheltering pines, make thoughts turn back ever to thee. We’ll give our hearts; we’ll give our thoughts to you forever.”
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at Wildie Chirstian Church, from 11am to 1pm. Funeral service will begin at 1pm with Bro. David Woods officiating.
